"For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven:"
For a few years now, I have been concerned with learning about new products, techniques, and tools, prolificlly practicing with the intent to create better artwork. Selling my work, although it has happened, was not the focus. Gratefully, financial support has come from other sources.
Now I have artwork, great and small, filling bookcases, shelving units, flat boxes, totes, drawers, stacked, leaning, on tables, in chairs, in my studio, my garage, my living room, my closet, and at three different venues. It has become exceedingly obvious, finally, that I've got to get serious about selling!
As that realization has become crystal clear, I have begun to prepare, and opportunities are beginning to present themselves!
On the evening of November 16th, I will be participating in the annual neighborhood event, Holiday in the Park in Burbank. My artwork and I will be set up in the Artist's Alley at Towns Burr Gallery.
This festive event includes many businesses on Magnolia Blvd. from Buena Vista past Hollywood Way. Santa Claus, vintage cars, musicians, and many other special treats are planned. I'm delighted to be included!
This would be an every Saturday commitment, just like a real job!! Wow, how exciting!
Artwork at the Heart & Sol exhibit will be on display for a couple more weeks and then 29 pieces of artwork will need new homes. So far only one, possibly two, have found new owners.
Artwork seen at the right range from $125-$225.
I will begin to post more pics and prices here on the blog and website, and work to make it easier for everyone to buy and become a collector or add to an existing collection.
As much as I love my own work, (and I do!) it makes me happy when they leave home to be a continual blessing in the life of a collector.
