I have been away from the studio since Thursday. I came to Arizona to visit my mom for a long weekend that has now stretched into the week. I'm still here as support while she tries a new medical device that we hope will make a tremendous improvement in her health.
I took some beautiful pictures of the sky while driving here. Clouds are one of the most beautiful creations as far as I'm concerned. I really like wide open spaces that create a great expanse of sky. I prefer the northeastern corner of Arizona to the southern half that I'm in but even still, I do love seeing the sky. There has been a beautiful full moon the past couple of nights. The evening sky is lovely and the heat is almost tolerable to be outside at that time.
I am quite thankful that my mom has air conditioning and I hope that we will have air conditioning soon at home in CA. I plan to be back there by tomorrow evening, but plans have changed before...
Meanwhile as far as art goes, I've been enjoying the work that my artist friends have posted to their websites and facebook. Particularly Martha Marshall, Cedar Lee, and Crystal Neubauer, whose diverse work and amazing creative spirit inspire me.
