Today I didn't take my artwork to the NoHo Farmer's Market/Artist Village because I thought it would be colder and windier than it turned out to be. I made good use of my time though by photographing all the drawings that I have done since November 24th when I started 'morning drawings.'
'Morning drawings' are three sketches I've incorporated into my morning routine. They were inspired by years of writing 'morning pages' as recommended in The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron.
So far I have made about 150 drawings. This includes 'evening drawings' which I started Jan 1, 2013. All the drawings are generally pretty quick and nonrepresentational. Kind of like automatic drawing. The other day I came up with the phrase 'drawing in tongues' and I like that.
Below are just a few. I'm pondering how best to present this ever growing body of work.
