In addition to all that she said yes to the American Lung Association to be the Chairman for California. If that isn't enough dedication, she said yes to climb the stairs of a 62 story building in Los Angeles in the Fight for Air climb!
To raise money for the ALA climb, Marsha is hosting an exhibit at the Geo Gallery, "Breathtaking Views and Air." It will be on display Monday - Friday 9-5 pm from April 1- April 12, 2013 with an artist reception on Friday evening April 5th from 5-8pm.
I am submitting the three paintings shown here to be in the exhibit. If any of the paintings sell I will make a contribution from the sale price to the American Lung Association in honor of my compassionate friend Marsha.
The upper painting called "Fleeting..." may fly off the wall and into someone's heart at $265 including tax. I will then contribute $75 to ALA.
The painting to the left, "January Rains" is the view of the Burbank hills that I had from my studio in Magnolia Park during 2010. It's price including tax is $195, and $50 will be donated.
Below is a painting called "In Faith." This is a painting that I did after moving back to Burbank from Colorado, a choice I made with minimal willingness. The little landscape contains the beautiful mountain range called the Sleeping Ute, although it is backward from the view I had while living there. I walked away trusting that no matter what trials awaited, God was leading me.
"In Faith" is part of the Heart of Gold series that is based on the scripture from 1Peter 1:7 that likens trials of faith to the purification of gold by fire. I felt this one fit the theme because it has a view I hold dear, and fire consumes oxygen like we do. It is for sale for $475 including tax and I will donate $100 to the American Lung Association if it continues it's journey, inspiring someone else to keep the faith and say yes.
Whether or not you are local, if you would like to say yes to purchasing any or all of these paintings please let me know by clicking here or to donate to ALA directly click here. Both Marsha and I will thank you!
