--This painting is no longer. I decided to add just a little something and now it looks completely different. If it becomes a better painting than it is at the moment, I'll give it another chance as a Daily Offering.
I made this last Saturday while watching the inspiring documentary, Searching for Sugar Man, about the poet/musician Sixto Rodriguez.
Today's Exploring Acrylics Class experimented with molding paste. This is one of my favorite paintings using molding paste...
Several years ago while walking the dog on a road trip, we passed a dead crow near a telephone pole surrounded by flowers. The image stayed with me even after I got back and ended up on canvas. Life and death together. It seemed so beautiful to me.
Today was the first day of the Exploring Acrylic Classes--Paste Series. This is one of the paintings I showed as an example of using Fiber Paste. The photo doesn't do justice to the beauty of the shimmering gold floating on the surface.
a project of showing artwork 6 days a week that lasted from January until June, 2014. In July it became sporadic, and as you can see August 1st is the last entry. It was a fun project, one I may repeat again in the future. Please enjoy scrolling through the artwork.
Below are a few responses:
